True promotion comes from God

Psalms 75:6-10
6 For promotion cometh neither from the east, nor from the west, nor from the south.
7 But God is the judge: he putteth down one, and setteth up another.
8 For in the hand of the LORD there is a cup, and the wine is red; it is full of mixture; and he poureth out of the same: but the dregs thereof, all the wicked of the earth shall wring them out, and drink them.
9 But I will declare for ever; I will sing praises to the God of Jacob.
10 All the horns of the wicked also will I cut off; but the horns of the righteous shall be exalted.

It is amazing how many people walk around seeking power. They manipulate, lie, cheat, steal and walk over top of endless amounts of people for power.

In the secular world I understand this, because money and success is their source. But in the body of Christ, neither money or success is our source. Money will not buy God and success will not please him. Faith pleases God and love is our final command.

I see people in congregations who try to impress others by their money or success value. They even try to manipulate and control from this false standpoints. These people do no know who they are, nor respect who others are. Their value is their bank accounts and titles, but when it comes to true godly positions, they will override in order to look greater and to move up. They even take on Judas attributes choosing money over godliness and often sale out other leaders, while losing their own souls.

Jesus told us that he had left us with power. It is not something we have to struggle to obtain. The body of Christ has been delegated and gifted with power. Yet, many have not true understanding of this, therefore people are being destroyed from a lack of knowledge.

If people knew who they were according to God's truths.
They would know:
  • that each born again believer is accepted in the beloved just as they are.
  • that they had power and did not have to strive for it.
  • that all of their needs were supplied by God through Jesus Christ.
  • that God was willing to fulfill their desires as they delight in Him.
  • that the gifts and callings of God make room for themselves, and you do not have to walk over anyone to get into those seats.
  • that anyone who enters into one of these seats in any other way than through God's personal placement have became a thief and a robber, the end being a unspeakable sentence.
  • that others were valuable and had specific placement in the body of Christ as well as themselves.
  • that each (true) member of the body of Christ had a supply that works compatibly with the others for the greatest of success.

God is looking for character (fruit). He is looking for faith and service from a spirit of love.
When he finds this in a people, he promotes!

If anyone is to be great in the kingdom of God he will have to love well and serve. He will also have to learn how to deal with adversity and people.

Joseph was a man with a dream. He was also a man with a proven character.

God did set Joseph into a high corporate position until he had been proven in various places.
  • He served his father by serving his brothers.
  • He served in another mans house.
  • He served the prison officials.
And then was promote. Joseph went up the corporate ladder properly and was effectual as he went. He never walked on anyone, and never reviled, rising to a level of success and renown and bringing others out of bondage and poverty.

All of our lives like healthy tress must go through seasons, be pruned and shaped in order to be fruitful. As we allow God to order our steps and direct our paths through our life seasons; as we allow him to prune us through training and correcting, teaching and reproving we like the healthy tree will become useful and ready for promotion. Promotion that will make rich and add no sorrow!
