INSTANT PRAYER

Ro 12:12
Rejoicing in hope; patient in tribulation; continuing instant in prayer;

Here we find that the way to rejoice in hope, and be patient in tribulation is through instant prayer.



Instant in this text comes from the word [ pros-kar-ter-eh'-o ].

Proskartereo is a compound of two words: pros which is a strengthened form of pro and kartereo coming form the word kratos.

• Pro: in front of, prior to, superior to, above, to go before, or ever.

• Kratos: vigor, dominion, might, power, and strength.

Therefore according to these Holy Spirit inspired words we are to: put prayer out in front of us, prior to every step we take, holding up God’s superior Word, keeping it above all else, letting it go before us at all times and in every situation. Allowing God to keep us strengthened, filled with vigor, and enabling us to walk in our delegated dominion, through Jesus Christ.
